I really wanted to talk more about some of my current top 5 favourites in different makeup/beauty categories and to start off with I thought i’d do my top 5 drugstore lipsticks.I actually found this to be quite difficult. When it comes to lipsticks I definitely own more higher end brands than those from Boots or Superdrug. Why that is, i’m not sure. I guess I love the luxurious-ness of higher end lipstick packaging and it’s always been my little guilty pleasure that I would save my money on. Lipstick is something I know I own way too much of. I have an entire drawer dedicated to Lipsticks.


As you can see, I have included 3 standard lipstick types, one liquid lipstick and one colour boost lip crayon. I didn’t know if lip crayons should have their own category on Tuesdays or if I should include it in this post, but I figured it was one of my favourites so I popped it in here. 


The liquid lipstick is a L’oreal in a beautiful fuchsia, I love these as a little alternative to an ordinary lipstick as I find they are a lot more long lasting. I also love the colour of this, although they are a little more tricky to apply, definitely not on-the-go application.


Next up are the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks, by far my favourite drugstore lipstick on the shelves. I have shown one in red and one in pink as the colour range is pretty big nowadays and these two are my top picks. The red one you will have seen multiple times for over a year now on both my blog, instagram and youtube videos as i wear it ALL THE TIME. It’s my staple red. I love the longevity, the consistency and the colour payoff is amazing! If you don’t have a huge budget to be buying really vibrant colours and you want good quality without the high end price tag, check these out!

Next is the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon. Although the colour isn’t as dramatic as a lipstick and it’s in a more shiny formula, it’s still very pretty and as it’s more of a balmy consistency, it leaves the lips looking really fresh and hydrated. The lasting power of this one is not as long, but it’s by far the easiest to apply on the go. 


Finally I have my all time favourite lipstick. My go-to for days where my face needs brightening and something that instantly lifts my mood. It’s infrared from Topshop. Again Topshops lipsticks are one of my favourite picks. Not as many colour variations but still amazing! :)

    I have never bought a Bourjous lip crayon but I wear the foundation and are great, even my mom has her own. I will try to give them a try next time but for Crayons I must say I have been loving the Revlon ones :) they have such a wide range I can´t…

  30. I am the pickiest person when it comes to lipstick. I'm the girl who wears red lipstick all the time, and my go-to red lipstick is 'MAC Red'. I love it so so so much! I do use a dark red Kate Moss Rimmel one in the winter time though, and I love it. I actually bought Kate Moss lipsticks because you recommended it ages ago on your YouTube channel.

    I've been loving the Revlon Colorburst lip balm crayons recently. One is called Sultry and it's a gorgeous soft red color. I don't know if you've tried it but it's worth the money. :)

However lately I've started to opt for the more high end lipsticks particularly the Estee Lauder Pure Colour range simply because they boost my confidence. When I wear them I'm like "ooh fancy lipstick awwwh yeah" haha the confidence boost alone makes them worth the money!

  52. The L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge lipstick in the color bold bordeaux is something I'm absolutely loving and I think you oughta try. Though it's quite a darker red (more suitable for the colder seasons), I think it's still lovely for summer nights out.

  126. Do you find that you need to use a lipliner with the Kate Moss one or does it stay pretty well on the lips? I find that lipsticks tend to bleed quite easily on me, but I find a lot of lip liners dry my lips out so when I apply a matte lipstick over the top my lips just end up looking chapped instead of luscious :(

I know that for a lot of girls they simply don't realise that these major cosmetic companies carry out animal testing so I just wanted to make you aware. I don't know if I liked Bourjois Colour Boost, I have them in 3 colours but the longevity is very disappointing. Instead, I've turned to Revlon's newest Sticks (not Bitten Lips Kissable) but the new ones, I think they are a LOT better than Colour Boost! (:

The color is fantastic (I'm actually wearing 101 Rose Melody right now), the application is divine (I wear other glosses that take, like, 5-6 applications before being sufficiently "glossed"), and it sort of tastes good, too! This is definitely something I would recommend and purchase more of.
