When I filmed my video on “Dealing with Panic Attacks & Anxiety”, I didn’t think for one minute that I would have had such an overwhelming response from so many of you. It took quite a lot of courage for me to sit down and speak out loud about my experiences and difficult aspects of my life on camera. I know that all it involved was me sitting in my bedroom and talking to a piece of photographic equipment but I knew that there would be an awful lot of you watching, so at the time, the pressure was on a heap more than if I were to be showing you the products I’d enjoyed using that month. The video also made it onto YouTube’s homepage, which made the experience all the more nail-biting. Not only were my loyal viewers and subscribers hearing about my struggles with panic attacks, but now anyone that landed on the youtube homepage was also watching. Although scary, it meant that it was helping a lot more people, and this made it all the more worthwhile. I wasn’t really too sure what the feedback from the video would be, I only wanted it to be seen, and for it to have helped at least one person. After attempting to try and read through all (5,300 currently) comments, hundreds of tweets and a brimming email inbox, it became apparent that I had in fact helped an awful lot of people. I can’t even express how happy this makes me. I wish I could sit and reply to each and every one of you, but I think it would take me a lifetime, so instead I just want to say thank you for all your kind words of support and love. I have shed many a tear hearing about how some of you have changed your lives around because of my gentle push. From 12 year old girls to 40 something men, the spectrum is so wide and so many of you have been affected by my rambly video. Whether it has helped you to realise what you are experiencing is panic and anxiety, helped you to help someone close to you, given you the reassurance you aren’t alone or given you a virtual cuddle, I am so pleased that it has affected you positively in some way. If you are reading this and you are one of those people, please remember to stay strong, stay happy and keep positive. I wish you all the luck in the world with whatever it is you are battling, you can do it, and you aren’t alone.

Thanks for the video it really helped me gain perspective and have hope :)

  2. It really was an awesome thing to do, Zoe and I have masses of respect for you for doing it :)

You've really helped me look at things more positively – I've agreed to go to The Clothes Show Live; something I probably would have thought twice about before.

I tweeted you earlier with the link to the post I wrote which included your video, just in case you wanted to read more wonderful things about the video!

  9. Meghan

I think they (And I) appreciated the honesty whether it affected them personally or not. I mean it's good to have someone that gives their personal view so that you can feel comfortable and closer with them. And you did do that and I admire you more for it. (Excuse the rambles to get to my point…) :)

  10. The video was fantastic Zoe – thank you so much for making it xxx

  11. I to suffer badly with panic attacks and anxiety to the point where i won't even leave my house sometimes. Your video helped me alot and made me a little more positive about the future. Things get better.

Although I don't suffer from panic attacks, my Mam does, and she doesn't like to speak about it, so it was really interesting for me to hear about the feelings you get… thanks so much for sharing :)

  14. Aimée

It was a brilliant video and you were really brave to put your feelings out there for the world to see! :)

  15. I appreciate this so much! I understand it must have taken a lot to say it! I'm sure alot of sufferers like me will agree with me when I say that it's nice to know that someone like you can put that out there onto the internet.

  16. Joy

Thanks Zoe. I'm glad you created this post as recently, I've start to get really anxious every time I had to speak in front of reasonably sized groups in class. I think my anxiety really had an affect on a recent interview I had, but luckily I've been given another opportunity to interview. This post definitely made me feel better about my anxiety.

  17. Laura

I did comment on the video at the time, but I wanted to say thanks again. The week that video went out I had been having my toughest time with panic/anxiety, so it gave me the push I needed. I've actually accomplished quite a bit more since I watched that. Will keep it in my favourites as a reminder!

  18. your daily makeup vlog please xxx

  19. it was a great video!! it's good when youtubers make other videos than about fashion/makeup (like in your case) once in a while :)

  20. It definitely helped me a lot thank you! And my friend had been dealing with a lot of stress recently and was having a hard time so I recommended your video and she found it so helpful. So THANK YOU from the both of us! Xo

  21. That video was so brave of you. You're a real inspiration.
You were already one of the reason I started my blog and knowing you would step out of your comfort zone to help others is just amazing.

  22. Marina

After watching your video I finally plucked up the courage to tell 180 of my 400 Facebook friends about my anxiety and panic attacks. Just like that. On Facebook! You made me feel not ashamed of it and so many of my friends have confided in me about how they suffer too but felt too embarrassed, and how inspired they were by me sharing my problem, and of course you. A lot of my friends watched your video and are starting to understand what anxiety is now. You are such an inspiration and in many ways remind me of myself. Take care lovely xx

  23. Your are so brave & inspiring for making the video, Zoe! It's amazing how something like youtube can help people who would otherwise suffer in silence, so thank you! :) xxx

  27. Aw *group hug* Love you zoe:)

  28. Hi Zoe!
I really loved your video and your blog post on Panic Attacks. It helped me understand more because my dad has it. It has made me a lot more understanding of it. Thankfully I do not have Panic Attacks but within your videos there is more lessons than that just saying yes to doing things you aren't comfortable with and taking all the chances and opportunities you are given is just exactly what helped me. So, for that! I thank you! I'm going to say yes to a lot more things.
    You are just lovely!

  29. Yzi

I wish i could be as brave as you wiht this, I'm struggling with anxiety and panic attacks really badly at the moment, and have had them for over two years now. You've helped so much and have and will inspire so many. Thank you x

  30. Sarah M

Everyday when I get those anxious feelings I just remind myself of your video. Really opened my eyes so, thank you. A lot. :)

  31. You are awesome Zoe. I went on a date that I didn't want to go on due to anxiety and felt so good afterwards :) thank you xx

  32. Eleanor

you're amazing.. i could write alot here about how much what you do actually means to me, but i wont. i just want to say a simple thank you. thank you for letting so many of us know that we're not alone.

  33. Inspiring video! It certainly helped me and i'm sure it helped people to get more of an insight. As you said in your video you'd be happy to help just one person, well judging by the immense response you helped much more. It was a really nice thing to do to give your experiences and generate such a positive attitude, a lovely girl you are Zoe :)

  34. You are such a lovely person! Aw you're lovely xxx

  40. I can't say I have ever been more effected by a video before. Not only do I feel more confident getting help for my own anxiety issues, I now understand my boyfriends panic attacks in a way I couldn't before. Thank you, you're such an inspiration.

  41. Pip ♥

Your video was so inspiring, it's no wonder you got all the respons you did. It breaks my heart that someone as sweet and lovely as you suffers with such a scary, horrible thing, but you're so brave and to speak about it in front of so many people just proves that. My best friend suffers with emetophobia, the phobia of sick, and so many things that you said in your video were really helpful and relatable. So thank you, and smile! :)

    Pip x

  42. Great post, your video was so inspiring and it has actually helped me to deal with th amount of stressful things I've got going on a the minute and I'm sure it helped a lot more people to deal with their own anxiety and understand others, so I just want to say thankyou :) x

  43. Natalie

You're truly an inspiration Zoe. On behalf of everyone, thank you!

  44. Cho

Zoella keep being inspirational and caring!

  45. Emma K

It's always great to know you're not alone. I've suffered from panic attacks for about 6 years now, but recently my anxiety has gotten so much worse, to the point of having night terrors and panic attacks in the middle of ASDA (… that one was embarrassing). It did really help watching that video. You're very inspirational. : )
It's also great for people who have never suffered one to be spoken to about it. I know seeing people have a panic attack can be very shocking/confusing, so your video would really help there.

    Xx. Emma @ ever so

PS. That photo of you is absolutely beautiful!

  46. You can definitely rest assured that you have helped an endless amount of people, me being one of them. Not only through this video, but since i've started watching your videos I feel like i've found my niche. I recently started a blog and have a tumblr account and although its virtual your get an overwhelming sense of community. Ive become more confident and therefore im not so depressed about the thought of going out of my house. So I just wanted to say thanks and you are incredibly appreciated!

  47. Oh Zoe! It was a beautiful video and you deserve all the attention :) And as everyone else saying, you look gorgeous in the photo above!

  48. thank you, i really feel like your video helped me and i now realize that that is probably what i have xx

  49. Although I personally don't struggle with anxiety, your video and previous blog post makes me appreciate time that I would otherwise have taken for granted. Saying "yes" to things more often is something I have been working on and you reminded me that I still need to, so thank you! You are a great inspiration to many people!

  50. I think it is so helpful and powerful to spread and connect experiences the way you did it. The new media technologies' tool allows to join people that suffers the same symptoms and reactions around the world, and it provoked me such an incredible warm feeling to see people sharing their thoughts, fears, and desires to fight against panic attacks or similar illness.

It was awesome to see how to take profit from sharing experiences, to help other people like that… It seemed magic to me. Thank you loads Zoe.

    Kind regards,
Cristina (from Spain living in Cardiff!)

  51. Natalie

  52. You are such an inspiration and thank you for all that you do!

  53. You help people see it from another's perspective :)

  54. I appreciate your video and your previous blog post so much! I suffer from occasional panic attacks but also from quite severe anxiety which means sometimes I won't even leave the house. It's comforting to know that there are other people out there who understand and feel the same way – it makes you feel not so alone. I've been trying to say yes to so many more things recently, even creating my own '1001 Goals in 101 Days' is helping because it's pushing me to do things. Thank you so much! xx

  55. 010

thanks for the video u make. I just need so courage to battle with my depression, eating disorder and panic attack. At least I need to try before I say "I can't".

  56. Thank you so much Zoe, your video has really helped me. It gave me that push, even though it's hard, to keep thinking "i can do this, i can do this" and I want to my college open days without a single panic attack! So thank you! :) xx

  57. Rubiiee

I'm glad a lot of people were able to benefit from your video. You are so great Zoe!

  58. Renee

Just another thank you, it was upon reading your older blog post about panic attacks and anxiety that I went and saw a counsellor, which has just been so, so, so beneficial.\, and has helped me so much.

Lots of love, and thank you once again <3

  59. Klaus

Thank you so much for this video Zoe. I've been struggling with negative thoughts for the past 3 months since school started again. I'm negative and anxious about everything to the point it's spun me out of control. Your video make me feel so much calmer and realize that a positive mindset is achievable. You're such an amazing person! The fact that you take control of your problems, stay happy and are such a cool person on top of all that is so inspirational. You make me realize that I'm weird or a failure or have to let anxiety/negativity ruin my life/potential. I can't really articulate how you helped me or how much it means that you speak about your anxiety/panic attacks but thank sooo much. It's amazing what your doing and really hope your successful in everything you do! :)

  60. Meela

I didn't get to watch this video (the computer is currently without sound) but this is amazing to me that you had the courage to post this. I have struggled with this for a long time and it's hard, and even harder to talk about. So, all I wanted to say was thank you for being brave.

  61. Amelia

You are the best, simply put. xx

  66. Such an amazing post!! You are such an inspiration to so many Zoe, including me!! :) ♥

  67. It was a great video and so inspiring. You've helped a lot of people, well done :)

  68. Wendy

Yesterday when I got out of the hospital I saw your movie,
I think it's really good that you made this vlog,
because it's really difficult to move on when you are not feeling well,
I think you are doing great!

    kiss, love, hope…..

  69. Lou

The feeling of 'laying yourself out to bare' (a weird expression, but to show and tell everyone what you feel and are going through) is so very brave and must have such an overwhelming feeling. Knowing that there are people from all walks of life that could be dealing with the same or similar thoughts and feelings and knowing that they are not alone, would give them a sense of hope.

I hope you deal and find peace with your struggles and knowing that your video has helped so many others, hopefully would of had a know on effect.

  70. Amy

You are just so inspiring, and whilst my anxiety is on a much lower level than yours, this has reminded me of the importance of just getting out and doing as much as you can. Like you say, you can only live once. Talking of inspiring, I found this cute fashion site that gives 25% of their profits to charity :) http://www.fashionmadesimple.co.uk/

  71. You're such an amazing role model and your video helped me so much, thankyou. I know how hard it must have been for you to film XO

  72. I commend you for putting aside your emotional connection to the disorder itself in order to be a positive role model for people struggling themselves. I am sure you helped countless people feel like they are not alone in the struggle. Hats off to you Zoe, in a world of blogging about making the world a prettier place, you have proven that true beauty is in the common bond of insecurity that we all share as humans in one way or another! xo

  73. Maike

One of the best videos I´ve ever seen!!! You are amazing (hope you know this!)
    Thank you so much! X

  74. You're great,girl ;)

  75. Can't thank you enough Zoe, you're such an inspiration to loads of us. Loved the video, it helped me through a rough time and it's good to know you're not alone every now and then xxxx

You're really inspiring Zoe! I've had problems with anxiety and panic attacks myself the past three years. I always felt super embarrassed about it. But after seeing your video, I decided to sit down and write down my own story on my blog here http://heartshapedmug.blogspot.no/. It's such a relief!

    Thanks again Zoe!

  78. J.

    Huge hug to you dear.

  79. Be proud of yourself Zoe, you're so lucky to have this amazing platform to share your knowledge and experiences with thousands of others :)
I've only been experiencing panic attacks for just over a year now and they're not totally under control, but I'm getting there. I'm 30 and it terrified thinking why is this happening to me, what have I done etc etc.
I watched your video this week and it humbled me, it made me realise that it' not just me suffering and others much younger (and older) have suffered for longer and are learning to cope and deal with it in their own way too :)
It's a struggle but there can be a positive ending if you want there to be one, it's that whole YOLO thing you mentioned, you've just gotta remember that and get on with loving and living life.
Thank you so much for your video hun, it was brave and I super appreciated it, it's a relief to know I'm not alone, much as you can feel it sometimes xx

  80. It was an amazing video and I can imagine how hard it would be to actually verbally talk about that sort of thing. Usually it buzzes around in my head but to actually start talking to so many people about it must of been daunting. I'm glad you did it though and i'm so happy it's helped people x

  81. HH

I have a question & I'm not really sure you're gonna see this, but maybe someone else who can also help me ♥.

First of all, amazing video. This made me understand the whole thing that happens in your head when you panic so much better.
I'm 15 now and I'm in grade 9 right now, but since I'm 11, dealing with presentations in front of the class got really hard for me, but also competitions or basically every situation when I have to prove myself.
Every time, it feels like this pressure gets too much to me. I start feeling weird and really hot, my head hurts, and I feel like vomiting out of all sudden. This usually lasts for hours and only gets better if I leave the room and calm down somewhere, but as soon as I get back into the same situation, it starts all over again.

I'd like to think it's just nervousness, but could it be that those things are also signs for panic-attacks? I'm not sure, since it only happens in this kind of situations and never when I'm alone at home or somewhere loud (well, I'm uncomfortable with crowded places but I never feel THAT bad), but this is really freaking me out so much. I'm scared days before and can't sleep because I'm sure it will happen again and I won't be able to stand it and I have the feeling that it's getting worse with every year that passes.

    Can anyone help? <3

  82. HH

    sorry for the bad english, I'm korean ;__;

  86. Zoe, you are not allowed to be so adorable, you know :) We are all so lucky to have your videos and blogposts in our lives, I can honestly say, that thanks to your "Say yes" post, I've changed my life a lot. I go to different places so much more and I'm a lot happier, thanks to you. Also, the post and the video about panic attacks, are amazing too. I'm so sure that they have helped so many of us and will continue to do that in the future as well. I personally haven't suffered with panic attacks, but I get anxious really easily, so knowing that I'm not the only one and that I can do something about it, it just makes me feel so much better. Thank you :)

  87. Zoe you are such an inspiration to all of us!
You should be really proud of yourself, I love your videos and I love your blog.

  88. I love this video! It really inspires me to talk about any problems that i am facing. I really appreciate and respect you so much for making this video as i know how hard it is to speak out about things. Im sure your video has helped many people and i wish you lots of luck in the future :) xx

  89. This was such a heart touching video and post! I personally don't know/have anyone with panic attacks but now if there will be some case of it I will know what to do! Thankyou ever so much! <3 xo

  90. I have times when I feel awful for no reason even if I have no major problems, so it was so lovely to know that you have problems too, because all internet beauty gurus etc seem so beautiful and perfect and superhuman to me, so it was nice to know that you're just a normal person too, and you too can feel down as well. Thankyou :) x

  94. Hi zoe I recently had a small panic attack and after i went straight to your video thank you for helping me *hugs for everyone x

  95. Monica

I'm so happy to hear how many people your video has reached! I've never had panic attacks myself, although I know that with any mental illness, you MUST seek help and try to get better, but it truly does start within. When you said that you didn't want to live like that anymore, that's what stuck with me. Now whenever I face something negative, I try to remember those words and move on. So far it's helped :)
    Stay strong, Zoe!
    Love, Monica.

  96. Thank you so much Zoe :)

  97. Hey, seriously well done! I used to think people were overreacting until I experienced it myself. It's very scary when it's happening to you and should be talked about much more.

Jackie @ Minerva Collection UK Handbags&Jewellery

  98. Claire

Hi, i don't suffer from panic attacks at all but i still watched your video all the way to the end. It was really insightful, honest and brave of you to put it online. I'm so happy there are people like you who are willing to open up and help others, it's so important that issues like these and all types of 'mental illness' are talked about, there is no shame in them.
Well done an thank you. xx

  99. The video you posted was great! I've suffered from Panic Disorder since I was 18 and used to endure upto 20 panics attacks a day. This lead to severe agoraphobia…I dropped out of Uni, where I was studying a degree in Fashin Design and moved home. It was a horrible period in my life.

CBT helped me so much, a form of therapy I would advise any ongoing panic sufferer to do! The drugs don't work, you need to speak through your thoughts and learn to rationalise them.

Now I work as the website assistant for leading own brand Aqua by Aqua & have a wonderful life of independence once again!

Its an illness that will never leave me, but with the help of others there are ways to cope and move on!

    Hattie, @peppermintplace

  100. This is not a panic attack, although you do sound like you are dealing with some anxiety issues related to public speaking.

This is quite normal for any person, so don't feel silly for these emotions.

The best way to cope with these situations is to be prepared for your school work and have confidence in yourself that you'll be able to do it.

It is important to get lots of rest and take deep breaths to stay calm and relaxed.

    Hattie, @peppermintplace

  101. After i watched this video i was so worried about having a panic attack that for the first time i actually had one. It was awful and it made me so stressed that i had another one, they keep happen now. Anyway im sure not many people felt like this xx

  102. thank you so much for that video zoe it really made me re think about my life too xx

  103. aly7

I think it so was so brave of you to make that video Zoe. I personally have anxiety, & your video has helped make me feel like I am not alone. I'm sure it has helped so, so many other people too – so you should feel extremely proud of yourself!

  104. Elisa

Thank you so much Zoe, you are such an inspiration to so many young girls out there, including myself. Thank you so much for your support! :)

  105. My twin suffers from panic attacks quite often and everything you said in the video (and earlier in one of your blog posts) was right on point! She's more comfortable when im with her if shes going somewhere because i know exactly how to act, say, or do in case she gets a panic attack, but unfortunately this limits her daily activities when im not able to accompany her; which sucks, but shes getting better. She saw your video/blog and she finds comfort and ease that shes not the only person who suffers from this horrible disease.

So glad someone finally has made a blog about this! What you said pretty much summed up what i had felt and by showing my mum this video she finally understood!

Thanks so much for having the courage to talk about the way you feel Zoe. I felt somewhat lost and unsure of myself for about two years now…
I'm sure millions of girls out there can relate and I know that for me, hearing someone that I truly admire talk about not letting anxiety and fear hold you back had a massive impact.
So much sooooo… that I've finally made my own blog! :D I really wanted you to know that you inspired me to just let go of the nasty thoughts inside my head and get back to writing, which I've always loved. My blog is about the troubles that hit girls in their twenties and will hopefully begin my journey back to being who I want to be :)
Thanks so much Zoe, I couldn't (and wouldn't) have taken my first step without you.

Hi, I'm a new follower! I loved the video you did and I found it helped me a lot, so thank you!

  126. Hannarr

Thankyou so much Zoe for the blog post and video you posted about this, it helped me so much! I have often felt alone and always thought that I am completely the only one that has panic attacks and anxiety because I have never really seen anyone else having one which adds to the unpleasantness of them. Plus, I didn’t fully understand what they were and why I kept having them but now you've made me understand why they happen and maybe that will help me to control them in the future. For months I have stayed in my house, with a fear of pretty much everything that I just couldn’t get my head around why. I would even be petrified to go to the local shop! So, I would just like to say (again) a HUGE HUGE HUGE thankyou for sharing such an uncomfortable and personal experience/thing. You have really, honestly helped me to understand what they are, something that even my doctor could hardly do!<3

  127. Hello there Zoella,
I have just joined your many followers after going through this lovely blog of yours. It is truly beautiful! I have never been through a panic attack myself but my very close older sister has and by what I have seen it is an experience that is more DREADFUL than what I can imagine. But needless to say I think you are a very talented young lady and I see you have been made a very strong person from all that you have gone through. I hope you have a really good week ahead of you!
    Lots of Love,

  128. Faye

Thank you for speaking about this Zoe, it really made a difference to me. I run my own business and yet I still suffer even now with panic attacks and anxiety! It's so nice to know that you are not alone sometimes!

I just started my own beauty blog, I hope you will subscribe!

    Thank you! x

  129. Shauni

I have just read your blog post and watched your Youtube video on this, I can relate where you are coming from on the panic attacks. I often get attacks due to being in a car accident 2 and a half years ago & I sometimes feel embarrassed talking about these subjects . Thank you for making this subject a little less taboo.

  130. emily

Your video and blog post about your anxiety helped me loads, I don't personally suffer with anxiety, I get nervous and back out of things a lot but I've never experienced an actual panic attack before but on of my best friends does, and quite badly, I never really knew how to help her and what she needed me to do so this video helped. It's really difficult for me as her friend as she suffers from other things too, and I always feel like she doesn't really appreciate what I do for her or how hard it is, and that she blames me for a lot of things. But your video did help me to understand a little more about how she must be feeling and will (and always have) try to help and just be there for her!

Also, if anyone could tell me how to follow a blod or become a member or what not, please could you let me know through my blog :) thankyouuuu

  131. Rachael

You are such an inspiration, I can't thank you enough for that video and this blog post. It's made me realize that there is nothing at all to be ashamed about if you suffer from anxiety, which I have suffered from for about seven years.
    So thank you. :) xx

  132. You're the biggest inspiration ever, yet so pretty! I love you Zoella, and remember to always stay strong! :) I started a blog last year, and only have 9 followers, I try quite hard on it, it's about music, fashion, and lots of DIY beauty products, I have 2 great writers which write on the blog. So please follow?(:

  133. I don't suffer with anxiety but I've been so scared to properly commit to my blog because I didn't know how the people around me would respond to me doing something like that (I guess I'm just ridiculously shy) but after reading your post about saying yes to more things I've decided to give it a real go and commit to posting more regularly. Thank you Zoe, I don't think I would be doing what I am without reading your blog xxx

  134. That was so brave of you to speak out! I wish more people openly spoke about issues they have as it would turn a lot of "taboo" subjects into conversation opposed to lonely secrets :D
I am really glad you are finding ways too cope, heres to all people overcoming anxiety :D

    Sarah@ http://www.stylalia.com

  135. Hi Zoella!

My middle name is Zoe as well and I got the same nickname as you! Your blog is lovely :)

    xx Nic

  136. kate

I'm really so thankful that you did this post/video. I've had anxiety attacks since I was about 14, and TOO many people don't understand how much it can really affect your life overall. Thank you for being brave!

  137. Ashlee

I haven't watched the video as of yet but I think it's amazing you're so brave and are able to speak about these sorts of things with so many people. You are a true inspiration.

    Ashlee @ The Makeup Wonderland

  138. I commented on your video the day it came out, so to know that you've possible read my comment and taken in what I've said means a lot. Thanks so much Zoe, you are amazing!xx

  139. You are such an inspiration <3

  140. Martina

Thank you so much for your video, just watched it now & it made me really happy. Panic attacks can feel SUPER scary. Plus, a lot of people just don't get it. Anyway… thanks for all this, you rock! It's not always easy to talk about things like this on a blog when everyone only tries to talk about the positive things. xx

  141. You are an amazing woman and Im so happy I found YOU, I'd be really happy If I could ever meet you =) if I ever make it to London I wish we can do so =) You look a lot more happy lately and Its sooooo good too see you like that. Keep your head up and love u tons.

    Elena from México.

  142. Hi Zoe, how are you?
I was wondering, what are your favorites fashion blogs? You top 10.
Do you like blogs like, the blond salad, tuula, cheyenne meets chanel, lusts for life, etc?
    What are your favorite bloggers?

  143. your video was amazing, you also looked amazing!

  144. Hi I sent the video you made on to a friend who suffered with panic attacks for years. It was great to get an insight into what it can be like for her and I know she really liked hearing from someone who also had panic attacks and how you managed them.

Thanks for the video and I love your blog.

  145. it's amazing how your videos and blog posts about this have inspired others. I've privately struggled with this for a while now, and lost alot of people I care about because I was unable to be open with them. The way that you've shared your personal experiences and the response that you've had, gives me hope. Thank you Zoe.

  146. I really loved watching this video as I do get panic attacks myself as well. You inspired me to 'let go' of the problems and not to think about the attacks so much :)

  147. You are so gorgeous, It's so great that you can talk on here about these things, I know it helps me as long as so many others I'm sure to know there are other people out there struggling as well!!

Thanks and I love your blog! Would be so happy if you would check out my blog and follow me :)

  148. I used to suffer from them and found it really hard telling anyone, so what you have done is amazing. Keep it up Zoe. X

  149. Ashley

This seriously made me feel so much better. I'm so glad to know I'm not alone.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It helped me so much!

  151. Nana

It is so lovely of you to share something so personal with all your readers and subscribers.
as for myself your posts and videos have really helped me feel better about myself
    thank you a lot zoe

  152. I went somewhere today that I had avoided for the past three months because of your advice. I had a panic attack there three months back, and even though I'd been wanting to go again, I was too afraid. And when I left this afternoon, without having one, I felt so great. Thank you.
    All the best,

  153. Rebecca

I just found your video and it could not have come at a better time. I was feeling so alone tonight. I have had on and off depressive stages for the past four years now, but now I'm acknowledging it and I'm taking the step to get better. I'm trying to say yes more.
It makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm not alone. We see so many people and it looks like they're so happy, but so often we see so little of the real picture. Your talking about your own problems helped me to look at mine and acknowledge that I can make a change. I don't have to let the sadness consume me. So again, thank you, so so much.
    Rebecca @ trbcca.blogspot.com

  154. I know I am one of the many people that felt comforted by your video. It was a big step. Mazel tov for having the courage to put yourself out there! And a big thanks from people like me that really needed to hear it! xoxoxo Makenzie

  155. 나니

But thankyou Zoe for uplifitng my spirits and making me feel less lonely. You're amazing.

  162. I literally cried whilst watching your anxiety video Zoe! Because just knowing I'm not the only one battling anxiety or panic attacks makes me feel a little bit less isolated if you understand me? Nobody should have too suffer because its just so so horrible and the panic attacks get scary! Your blog and video have helped me so much and I'm so grateful for that. So thank you!oxox

  165. I honestly couldn't put it into words what this has meant for me, if not removing my anxiety completely. Then certainly what overwhelms me is the fact I'm so relieved that someone like you has put these words out into the world. I hope you see this as it would be mean everything if you looked at my blog post entirely about your video and what this has done. I've attempted to sum it up here but obviously the full article is on my blog

I just want you to know what this has done for me!x
    -Bethany-Helen x

  170. I don't even suffer from panic attacks but I still got teary cos of how difficult it was for you to talk about them. As a non-sufferer, I feel now that I'd know what to do if someone was having one. Thanks, Zoe :)

  171. Elissa

Since I've discovered you I've been looking up to you.
And now since this, it's official, you are now my role model!

    Love, Elissa♥

  172. Thank you so much for your video. I've been dealing with anxiety and panic disorder for 4 years now and it's SO comforting to see someone else who is successful talk about these issues. Thank you so much! I really really appreciate it <3

  173. Your video made me realise that i'm not alone. I've suffered from anxiety attacks ever since I was 5 years old, 12 years on and my anxiety isn't as bad, but I think that's because I have much more independence. I look up to you a lot, like a big sister I never had. Whenever I'm down, I'll watch yours and Joe's videos and you'll both cheer me up. You probably won't see this but I just want to put it out there, thank you for being you and don't ever let anyone change you!

  174. Eria

Hey i've been inspired to start my own beauty blog! I love your blogs, and youtube reviews!
I'd really appreciate it if you could check mine out X

  175. I am really relieved to know that someone understands what it is like to suffer from panic attacks and anxiety. I still have trouble hanging out with my friends because I am scared I am going to panic and that makes me upset, but at least now I know that a LOT Of people go through it and it makes me feel a bit better. Thank you Zoey

  177. Hi Zoella, thanks so much for being a great voice for panic attack sufferers! You did an awesome job describing how it feels and making it seem more rational than it sometimes seems. Thanks for helping to ease the stigma. You're awesome! I've recently started a blog about panic of my own and just posted some helpful hints on how to deal with panic. Stop by if you can… http://www.angstanxietypanic.wordpress.com

  181. this blog post really helped me realise that i am not the only person suffering from anxiety. Thank you so much for helping me. x

  182. you have been so much help. x

  183. It's great to hear that I am not alone in my experience of panic attacks and anxiety. I never ever thought my body was even capable of doing such things which probably like yourself, terrified me into thinking it would happen again. That's definitely the evilest part of the panic attack, it's a vicious cycle! Thank you for spreading awareness of how horrible anxiety is, we're not just being drama queens when we're literally telling everyone we think we are dying! haha!

  184. Alex

I don't have panic attacks and anxiety but your so brave… and wonderful too <3
    *Respect bruther.

  185. Hudaaa

Wow. I saw your video first and it helped immensely and so does this post. Id like to just say a MASSIVE thank you for doing this blog post as it has helped me realize i don't have to think of anxiety as something that will hold me back.

keep doing what you do as it brings joy and a sense of understanding to me and a lot of others.x

  186. I really appreciated your video on anxiety and panic attacks. It's so good to have someone to relate to and who has the ability to understand everything I'm experiencing. That is something that is truly hard to find where I am..

  187. Thank you so so much for your video! My sister has suffered from a young age from panic attacks and has slowly gotten better (she's now 20 like me, we're twins) And now I'm the one suffering with panic attackes! I haven't told anyone as I don't want to be a burden but it has slowly started taking over my life! Your video ha given me the strength to say no! I will not let them stop me doing what I want to do! I will not let my panic attacks run my life anymore! Thanks to your video, I have found some strength to say yes to things! Thank you!!!!

  188. I really enjoyed watching you talk about anxiety or panc attacks because so many people struggle
with it and it's good to know that there are other people that feel the same way. Thank You do

  189. Elissa

It really helped me and I think you're so brave for talking about it. I know I'm too scared for that, so you're really brave!

    xx Elissa

  190. I nearly cried reading this blogpost. Thank you so much Zoe for everything you've done, for all the kind words you wrote. All of us viewers out here from everywhere around the world love you too much to express out loud. I'm so grateful and thankful and blessed to know that the people who are my favorite people to watch online know what I've gone through and how I feel when I go through the worst things ever. It's so amazing to see that someone so amazingly perfect like you is brave enough to express and share her insecurities and personal issues with us outsiders. I really really admire you and all the things you do. So, once again Zoe, thank you thank you thank you so so so much for writing this and filming the video. Ah writing this whole thing made my shed some tears haha. I hope that you're able to reply to this at one point or even read it all.

I love you dearly with all my heart, please keep up all of the positivity you've done in life.

  191. Xio

I want you to know that it has really helped me a lot. I've been dealing with anxiety for a year now, and when I read your post (and then watched your video) I realized that, what I was feeling every time I was standing at a bus/tube stop or simply waiting for someone, was not just a thing with me being obsessive with punctuality; it was a little bit more serious than I thought before. I wanted to thank you, because it made me think that I can try to live a normal life. God bless you much more than you blessed me with what you did. Ily.

  192. honestly this video has helped me SO much, growing up with a disability everything just gets overwhelming. I didn't want to do anything but stay in bed & not move! it really encouraged me to start doing different things going out with friends more often being surround lots of people, thats when i decided to start making youtube videos because I think this will help me so much. i know i can get really rude & disrespectful comments but it's something i now will help me become stronger!

your one of my favourite youtuber's and i love watching your videos!
    stay true, stay you. :)
    much love!

  193. I happy that you found the courage to make the video that help a lot of people !
Btw, I typed 'panic attacks' and you are the 3rd video that appears XD

You are such a nice person!
lovee youu and your beauty videos <3

  194. Nicole

Thank you so much Zoe! You are such an inspiration and have taught me so much. I know now that Im not alone. My dream is to someday meet you, and thank you in person. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Happy February!
    California, United States

  195. I'm so glad you did the video because I myself have a mild issue with anxiety but one of my friends had confided in me a couple of days before that she also had the same issues as myself and the video really helped both of us! So thank you and I'm glad it received such a positive response! X

  196. Hi, i discovered your blog earlier on today while i was at work and wanted to come back and read it tonight as i could really relate and understand how hard it must have been blogging about a personal issue. i suffer with anxiety, over the last 1 or 2 years it has developed and i'd find myself panicking over the silliest things, luckily i'm getting over it now. I've just tonight started my own blog, i think i found you inspiring lol.. http://antoniaapril.blogspot.co.uk/ X

  197. I have had the same problem for over 5 years and only just have started to deal with it well! This is so helpful, and I am going to post the youtube link to my own blog to help even more people! well done and thankyou! keepcalmlookpretty.blogspot.com

  198. I recently had my first ever panic attack, I had watched your video on anxiety and panic attacks way before I had my first panic attack, you really helped me because the whole duration of it I was thinking 'Think of what zoe said' it really helped my and got me through the whole thing!
I'm a little worried though because I'm worried about having one when I go back to school, also I'd love to know, is it normal to feel that your of a shortness of breath and that your heart speeds up when you're lead down? At night when I'm about to go to sleep I will lay down and and I cannot breath or my heart beat will speed up so now I have to sleep with about 9 pillows or I have to sleep sitting up,
    any advise? xxx

  199. Hi Zoe! I loved your video on coping with Anxiety & Panic Attacks. It made me realise I'm not the only one & its definitely a real thing! Thank you. X

  200. Aww xx (hugs back) Thanks Zoe Xxx :*

Hi! First of all, I wanted to tell you that I'm 15 years old, and I suffer from panic attacks and axiety. I have been suffering this since I was like 8 or 9 years old. Because of people at school bullied me, I didn't wanted to go to school or even go out of my home.
This video and this post really helped me to finally go to a friend's party. It was my first party with more than 3 friends.
I used to refuse go out for a walk, go party or even meet new people, because I was so scared of what they might think of me. Last year I was in a café when a guy came and asked me if I liked to drink something and I panic, because I didn't know what to do, like I thought "Should I run away?" Then he started making fun of me, and I started getting very very nervous. I asked a friend who was with me, if she could leave with me, but she told me to stay there because it was just a joke. At the minute she said that, I run away and did not appeared for like two hours.
I am also very scared of meeting with people in any public place, because I have the feeling that someone's watching me. The day of the joke, was my first day out with friends. And since then I haven't gone out, but two days ago I saw this video and it really changed my mind.
I'm very thankful you've posted this, it really helped me to go out and see all of my town. Thank you very much Zoella. :)

I don’t usually follow your blog (I follow both your YouTube channels) and i wish you so much luck, happiness and hugs for the future years to come. You must of had so much courage to talk about your anxiety, my friend used to have panic attacks and got really scared over the little things but could easily hurdle over the big things. She got over that by always looking around, looking for the brighter sides to life all the time and having that grand support from friends and family. Anyone can get over anything put your mind to it and always be optimistic! keep smiling and loving what you do! I send you lots and lots of hugs!! Xxxx ps: I would love it if you read this xxxxxxx
