Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder in 52
Soap & Glory Solar Powder
L’oreal Glam Bronze in 06
Revlon Bronzilla
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 02

Today I thought I’d share some of my favourite bronzers from Boots and High Street stores. I find myself using bronzer more than ever at this time of year. They have so many uses, and are particularly good in the summer for complimenting a tan, as well as handy tools for contouring and sculpting.

Bourjois’ Delice de Poudre bronzer is a rich, warm brown so is great for when my skin is looking naturally more tan than usual. It has a super soft finish making it easy to apply with a lovely texture. It has a tiny, subtle amount of shimmer to it which gives off a natural looking glow, great for making you look like you’ve just got back from an exotic holiday! I love the chocolate bar design and it even has a sweet, chocolatey scent to it.

Soap and Glory’s Solar Powder is a bronzer and a highlighter all in one. Again with a light shimmer, it creates a really natural glow, especially when you dust the lighter shade highlighter over your cheekbones. Having the combination of the two in the compact makes it nice and easy to take with you, great for touching up your complexion on the go.

L’oreal’s Glam Bronze is one of my absolute favourites and one I find myself reaching for all year round. It has a matte finish for a natural looking tan, but is in a particularly golden shade, adding warmth to your skin, and the matte finish makes it great for contouring.

Revlon’s Bronzilla was a more recent addition but the neat compact with brush included made it ideal for taking with me on holiday. This bronzer has a strong colour payoff so you only really need a small amount, but is long lasting so will stay put throughout the day.

Last but not least, The Body Shop’s Honey Bronze in 02 is on the fairer side of bronzers, and even comes in a shade lighter, so is great for those with paler skin tones. It comes in a handy mirrored compact too, I tend to throw this in my handbag to take with me on the go. Again with a matte finish, this is perfect for subtle contouring and adding shape and definition to your face.

Everybody keeps talking about that Honey Bronzer from The Body Shop. I don't usually ever use bronzers but this one looks nice cuz it is matte and doesn't seem like it'd be too dark since the shades are nicer..so tempted now…hahh

  139. oh how appetizing it seems to put food related makeup on your face. no really, it seems like a delicious bronzer. your skin must soak it up. OK OK i'll stop. it actually looks really good. as a bronzer, not food. i think im hungry. im gonna be quiet and go eat now…

I really like L´oreal one too. Lovely post Zoe.

  145. Hi everyone! i have been inspired by beautiful Zoe to start a blog, i've only made one post so far but it would mean a lot if some of you came and read through it and gave me any feedback on how to improve? http://littleheartblog.blogspot.co.uk

  146. I'd love to try the body shop one, their products never fail me!

  147. I am trying (and failing) to get the hang of contouring. I think it might be a case of the wrong bronzer, too much shimmer when it should be a matte finish. Must give the L'Oreal one a go!

  153. I always find it so hard to get the right coloured bronzer without it looking too muddy or orange. I really need to try out that Soap and Glory one though. I've heard loads of great things about it and it looks a good colour for me! I also like the look of the revlon one, and the fact that it's long lasting.

  154. I love these bronzers. My favourite one is probably the Bourjois bronzer as it's accessible and not to expensive either. I also really love the Soap & Glory bronzer as well. It's really pretty especially during Summer :) x

Thanks for sharing, Zoe! I could really use a good bronzer. I hope I could find the Soap and Glory one in the Philippines :) I currently use a pressed powder which is darker than my skin tone as a make-do bronzer!

  156. Loved this post!:) I am currently using the bronzing shade in the Sleek Face Form palette, its really good but I am open to any reccomendations that people have! The Soap and Glory one looks really good, and the L'Oreal one too!:)

Great post, Zoe! I've been thinking of picking up the Honey Bronze powder from the Body Shop and I think you just convinced me. I'm always looking for new bronzing powders that will look nice on fair skin tones like mine. Thanks for the recommendations:)

  159. I saw the recent video you made about your july/august favourites and you mentioned that you were breaking out on your chin most often, i had a similar issue with my forehead which i just assumed i needed a better facewash or something along thoose lines however it turned out to be that i wasnt drinking enough water, anyway basically i was commenting to show you this blog post which talks all about breakouts that are frequent on certain areas of the face, and i thought it might just help you out :

  171. I've really been meaning to try solar powder! Sadly my face tan is nearly gone which I'm gutted about because I don't tan easily and it looked great with bronzer :( great post! xxx

  172. I absolutely adore the Bourjois Brozner. It has a slight shimmer which shows up beautifully when the sun hits the cheekbones. I think I'd be more impressed with this product if it was a matte bronzer. It's only at all that expensive and the packaging is amazingly hippy. The formula would have been just perfect to use this bronzer as a contour powder but the shimmer is too prominent yet slight. It gives the cheekbones a sun kissed look even if the sun hasn't been in existence for a while. xx

I really love the Bourjois' Delice de Poudre bronzer :)

  174. The Body Shop bronzer sounds great, would work perfect I think because I'm so pale! Can't wait to go to the Body Shop to pick it up! :)

  175. Please do a 'Top 5 Drugstore Mascaras' I'm on the hunt&could really do with some advice ^.^ x

  176. I love the bourjois one, the other drug store one I tend to use is Mua, it's fairly cheap and a mosaic one. You can get different combinations of colour but my favourite is a warm brown colours and not too pigmented. It's good for contouring and has a bit of a shimmer! :-)

I have never used bronzer and I’m not too sure why, so these sound like they might be a good place to start. The bronzer from L’oreal sounds like a good one, I’ll have to try it out. Thanks Zoe!
