Yesterday I uploaded my current favourite makeup look to my youtube channel. I find myself really starting to enjoy different products and shades at this time of year. When the evenings start getting longer and the weather gets colder, it’s a great time to change up your makeup bag and introduce some darker tones, berry lips and golden eyes all the way!
It’s a fairly straightforward look, the base is fairly simple with foundation, powder and blush. I’ve been absolutely loving Too Faced’s new Born This Way foundation! It’s a great base to start with and give such a natural look. I have then been warming up my collection with a splash of Benefit’s Hoola, a really natural looking bronze, and finishing it off with a dusting of the baked Kiko blush.
I love wearing a warm, golden toned eye look during autumn. MAC’s Amber Lights is my favourite golden shade, it looks quite a dark gold but when blended can be so easy to wear. It’s got a lovely shimmer to it without being too glittery, with a cat-eye flick it’s great during the day but can be layered with a smokey black eyeliner to form a great night-out look!
